In the 90’s, cinematographer Sonny Miller teamed up with Tom Curren and Rip Curl to make a series of surf films based on The Search… The partnership between surfer and cinematographer remains one of the great connections in surfing.
His films inspired generations of surfers, and his passion and irreverent stoke shined in his work, creating some of the most revered surf films of all time. Rip Curl as well as the global surf community mourn the loss of Sonny, and we send our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
